| Details | At a meeting of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association of Toronto, Nora Spinks, President of Work-Life Harmony, warned that a generational perfect storm was approaching the workplace as increased age diversity resulted in a loss of power for boomers. She explained that the looming clash between boomers and the slightly younger trailing boomers has begun as boomers linger and continue to occupy many of the top-level positions. Employers are accommodating boomers with phased retirement and flexible work arrangements, Spinks suggested. As a result trailing boomers are neglected: this segment needs to be engaged and retained. |
